Proudly supporting Midlands Air Ambulance

An exciting announcement – our new chosen charity for 2017

We are delighted to reveal that for 2017 we have chosen to support the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

The Midlands Air Ambulance was formed in 1991 and are fully dependant on donations from public and local businesses – they receive no Government or National Lottery funding.

Since 1991, the charity has responded to more than 46,000 missions averaging 2000 per year with each Midlands Air Ambulance ‘mission’ costing £2,500. In excess of £7 million is needed each year to keep its three air ambulances operational. These bases are at Strensham Airbase on M5, RAF Cosford & Tatenhill Airbase.

The values of this charity mean a lot to us as a company and we are excited at the prospect of raising as much money as possible for them.

The first event that we are supporting will be a charity bike ride by Martin Whelan and the Barmy Team, who are following on from their successful ride last year by cycling a distance of 350 miles from Stourbridge to Land’s End in Cornwall. The team’s website contains details about everyone involved and how you can show your support. You can also keep up to date with the team’s news through their Facebook page.
